Operations: Move Item to Another Order

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to transfer items between Dine-In orders using the POS system.

Note: Moving items between orders is only possible for Dine-In orders.​

Prerequisites

Order Type: Ensure both the source and destination orders are categorised as Dine-In.​

Step 1: Locate the Item to be Moved

1. On the POS system, navigate to the Active Orders section.​

2. Find and select the order containing the item(s) you wish to move.​

Step 2: Select the Item(s) to Move

1. Within the order, long-press on the item you intend to move.​

2. If transferring multiple items to the same order, select all relevant items.​

Step 3: Initiate the Move

     At the bottom of the order screen, tap the Move button.​

Step 4: Find the Destination Order

     A list of active Dine-In orders will appear. Browse or search to locate the destination order.​

Step 5: Select and Confirm the Destination Order

1. Tap on the desired destination order.​

2. Confirm your selection to complete the transfer of the item(s).​

The selected item(s) have now been successfully moved to the new order.​

Notes

• Order Type Restriction: This functionality is exclusive to Dine-In orders. Ensure both orders involved are categorised accordingly.​​
